House Update

With the help of many wonderful workers we've been able to get all of our stuff to our new house in Lawrenceville. :-) This week we've been making phone calls to get our utilities set up: water, electricity, gas, phone & internet, and waste removal. We've been staying with my Mom since Saturday until our utilities come on. This has actually been a convenient way to help out since her *hmm* surgery. She is recovering well although she is in a lot of pain.

We purchased a refrigerator that was delivered today! A wonderful side-by-side, stainless steel, LG model with ice and water on the door. :-) Then we realized that we needed a plumber to create a water hook-up in the fridge's hole. That's a pretty penny. But we're glad it's just a one time expense.

Yesterday, with some more wonderful help, I was relieved of my mother responsibilities for a few hours to thoroughly clean the bathrooms, sweep and vacuum. Jeramy has been able to set up our washer, dryer, dining table and bed. Today he moved our boxes and rearranged the garage. There is more cleaning that needs to be done before we can get down to unpacking.

There are so many leaves in our yard! My parents had a big yard with LOTS of leaves and it was always a huge burden and task to take care of them. The sound of dried leaves rustling under our feet at that time brought feelings of burden and a sense of overwhelming despair because there was so much yardwork that needed to be done. Well . . . now . . . these are my leaves rustling under my footsteps and it doesn't sound like a burden. I'm excited, for once, to rake leaves because it's in our yard! I guess we'll have to buy a rake. :-) Maybe later we can get a leaf blower.

Leaves! What a boon for your future garden. Compost. We are so happy for you, and can't wait to see your new home.

Won't the kids have fun jumping in the leaf piles! It's great when they get big enough to make the piles themselves, too.
