Galatians 5:1
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.
Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
If you continue to read, Paul is referring to the keeping of the Mosaic Law, in this context. If you have read his other epistles, it also refers to the bondage of our sin, leading to death (Romans 7).
O Lord God, You are holy and righteous.
There is no truth apart from You.
There is no freedom apart from that purchased
by Your Son Jesus Christ,
who shed His blood so that we might be free
to do that for which You created us -
to worship You in Spirit and in Truth
by living a holy life in service to others,
proclaiming the greatness of Your name to all nations.
May Your name be praised! Amen.
