The house we put an official bid on this past Monday will not be accepted. Because that house has part of the carpet cut away, FHA will not extend the loan to acquire it. So, we move on to house choice number 2 and are very content if we get that one. In a way, I'm not surprised that we won't be getting that house. It's okay, really. We're not hurt by it, just a little puzzled over the reason the bank gave concerning the carpet. God wills for us to live somewhere else.
Our second house choice is just across the Duluth/Lawrenceville border. It is a 3 bed/2 bath ranch with a full, finished basement and sits on a 3/4 acre lot. The yard is beautiful. There is a deck and shed in the backyard and a porch in the front. There are beautiful hardwood floors and a lovely fireplace. The neighborhood looks very safe and the cul-de-sac in which it sits is very quiet. It feels like an oasis away from the city.
